Responsibilities

Position Overview
The Site Security Director is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and operational excellence of a high-profile commercial office building. This role involves overseeing all aspects of site security operations, managing a dynamic security team,
and maintaining advanced security technology systems. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to delivering world-class security services.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Team Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a contract security team of multiple personnel to deliver consistent, high-quality security services.
  • Set performance standards and ensure team accountability to organizational and client expectations.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee ongoing training programs for new and existing security officers to ensure operational readiness and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and excellence.

Operations Management

  • Proactively manage and optimize all security operations, ensuring seamless coordination and response to potential risks.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with security protocols, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients and property management to address security concerns, build trust, and maintain positive working relationships.

Technology and Systems Oversight

  • Oversee the management and operation of advanced security systems,  access control platforms, and surveillance systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with minimal disruption to security operations.
  • Regularly assess and upgrade security technology to ensure cutting-edge performance.

Incident Management and Reporting

  • Conduct thorough investigations of all security incidents, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Prepare comprehensive, accurate, and timely incident reports, ensuring high standards of documentation and evidence integrity.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients during investigations, communicating findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Develop and implement emergency response protocols and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for a variety of scenarios.
  • Act as the incident commander during emergencies, coordinating responses and mitigating risks effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety and security regulations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications of Security Director:
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 3-5 years of experience supervising a security team in a similar environment or directly related position
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid Ohio Guard Card
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
