    Titan Security is currently recruiting for Full Time Unarmed Security Shift Supervisors to work at a Commercal High Rise attraction located Chicago's Loop. 

     

    Titan Security is one of the largest privately-held security services providers in the Chicagoland area and we are growing!  Join a leading company in one of the fastest growing industries.  Unarmed Security Shift Supervisor duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Responsibilities

    • Take ownership of all Titan activities at the location and provide guidance to security staff
    • Required to attend periodic staff meetings and on-going supervisory training
    • Work with Titan’s account manager to supervise day-to-day operations of all Titan officers
    • Manage a team of security officers, including participating in hiring /selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support
    • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees
    • Provide the basis of a great work environment by treating staff with respect
    • Understand duties and responsibilities of all positions -- act as a relief officer for all positions
    • Execute policies and procedures received from Titan’s account manager or client contacts
    • Oversee and direct activities of all security officers assigned to the location
    • Oversee OJT training completed by new hires and Titan’s training officer
    • Complete Training Accountability reports timely
    • Attend and participate in quarterly training sessions for all permanent officers
    • Respond to any security-related or emergent incidents and take proper action in accordance with procedures; complete clear and accurate incident-related documentation
    • Write reports completed for incidents or irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, trespassing, etc.;  Assist and review reports written by security officers
    • Respond to calls for assistance without unnecessary delay; provide proper feedback or guidance
    • Ensure Titan’s handbook and policies and procedures are being followed at all times by all security officers assigned to the location
    • Actively complete uniform inspections of officers to ensure adherence to location and Titan uniform policies and expectations
    • Document infractions of company policy by any security officers, specifically uniforms, personal cell phone use, and attendance
    • Take appropriate disciplinary action with security officers, as required - coordinate all employee actions with Titan’s account manager
    • Assure that employee grievances are heard and resolved (with assistance from the Titan Management, as required)
    • Complete audits of the tour system daily to ensure patrols are done timely and accurately
    • Complete weekly audits of security equipment and assess maintenance or replacement needs
    • Maintain standards for security equipment, access-control and monitoring system
    • Maintain working inventory of portable radios
    • Complete location Opening/Closing procedures including signage placement in a timely manner
    • Complete roll-call briefings as instructed
    • Complete daily activity reports for each shift
    • Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met
    • Reconcile logs, shift responsibilities and patrols; review incident reports prior to submitting to client or account manager and coordinate preliminary investigations
    • Effectively utilize access control systems, visitor management systems and CCTV systems as needed.
    • Conduct general patrols of the entire property during various hours, if required, including numerous flights of stairs and frequent patrols of the exterior in any weather conditions.
    • Assist Titan’s account manager whenever possible
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:  High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or directly related experience.  Must be at least 21 years of age.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Valid PERC, driver’s license as applicable.

    Language Skills:  Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual considered a plus.

    Other Qualifications:Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Must maintain a working telephone number though which we can contact you. Able to multi-task job-related duties as assigned.

    Physical Demands: The physical demands are based on the location and contractual requirements and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  A list of these job duties is inclusive of, but not limited to: candidates must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned location; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather. 

    Salary & Benefits: Compensation is $14.00 to $16.00 per hour based on experience, plus paid time off,  2x paid holidays, and retirement benefits. Benefits are provided by the local 25 S.E.I.U Welfare Fund. Under this plan, you have health coverage through Union Health Service, Inc(UHS). As long as you are under the care of a Union Health Service physician, you have 100% coverage of expenses at no cost to you.  Disability and dental benefits are provided and eye care is also available.
